OSHA LOAD TESTING & CERTIFICATION

YorkHoist technicians can perform an onsite or offsite load test for any of your equipment. With each load test, you will receive a certificate of testing, including the serial number, capacity certification, and date of certification.

Including parts for machinery, conveyors, and/or scaffolding. YorkHoist can design and fabricate custom testing jigs for any job.

WHEN TO LOAD TEST

01 Prior to Initial Use

All newly installed cranes, hoists, and lifting devices must be load tested at a capacity of 125% prior to initial use.

02 Equipment Modifications

Equipment that has been re-rated or modified in anyway must be load tested again prior to use to ensure the device can still handle the rated load.

03 Major Repairs or Upgrades

Equipment that has undergone major repairs or upgrades must be load tested to ensure no significant problems occurred during the repair process.

04 Re-Installation of Asset

Assets that have been re-installed after being dismantled or relocated must be load tested before returning to service.

05 Equipment Out of Service

Equipment that has been out of service for a significant period of time must be load tested prior to returning to service.

06 Moving an Asset

Assets that have been relocated to a new facility or a different location must be load tested.

LOAD TEST CERTIFICATION

We generate Load Test Certification Reports for all units we test. This report provides detailed information, including unit identification number, unit capacity, test weight, date of test, qualified technician information, and pictures of the equipment under load.
