LOAD TEST SERVICES
YorkHoist technicians can perform an onsite or offsite load test for any of your
equipment. With each load test, you will receive a certificate of testing,
including the serial number, capacity certification, and date of certification.
Including bridge/overhead, gantry, and jib cranes, electric hoists, air hoists, and more.
Including load bars, spreader bars, specialized lifting hooks/grabs, coil lifters, pallet lifters, and more. Each Service Technician has the ability to test hook devices with capacities exceeding 100 tons.
Including parts for machinery, conveyors, and/or scaffolding. YorkHoist can design and fabricate custom testing jigs for any job.
All newly installed cranes, hoists, and lifting devices must be load tested at a capacity of 125% prior to initial use.
Equipment that has been re-rated or modified in anyway must be load tested again prior to use to ensure the device can still handle the rated load.
Equipment that has undergone major repairs or upgrades must be load tested to ensure no significant problems occurred during the repair process.
Assets that have been re-installed after being dismantled or relocated must be load tested before returning to service.
Equipment that has been out of service for a significant period of time must be load tested prior to returning to service.
Assets that have been relocated to a new facility or a different location must be load tested.
"Special custom design grabs, hooks, clamps, or other lifting accessories, for such units as modular panels, prefabricated structures and similar materials, shall be marked to indicate the safe working loads and shall be proof-tested prior to use to 125 percent of their rated load."
"All welded end attachments shall not be used unless proof tested by the manufacturer or equivalent entity at twice their rated capacity prior to initial use. The employer shall retain a certificate of proof test, and make it available for examination."
"Rated load test. Test loads shall not be more than 125 percent of the rated load unless otherwise recommended by the manufacturer. The test reports shall be placed on file where readily available to appointed personnel."
We generate Load Test Certification Reports for all units we test. This report provides detailed information, including unit identification number, unit capacity, test weight, date of test, qualified technician information, and pictures of the equipment under load. All Load Test Certification Reports are immediately accessible on YorkHoist's comprehensive online customer portal, MyHCR.
